AI is expected to be integrated into all areas of business operations. At ComplyCloud, we aimed to develop a free product that ensures companies use AI systems responsibly and in compliance with the AI Act, while also protecting customers from potential risks associated with AI.

This product marks the company's initial step towards a product-led growth strategy, transitioning from its previous sales-led approach.

I was the only designer involved in the whole process collaborating with different stakeholders.

Compliance is a complex topic, and we aim to make the onboarding process as smooth as possible. The onboarding flow is the core of our product, designed to engage users effectively. We keep it simple, smart, and straightforward.
The guidance
The initial steps for introducing users to the AI compliance product are accompanied by contextual information to help them maximize its value.

My personal preference was to give context for each step, giving users technical knowledge.
The celebration
Ensuring continuous engagement throughout the entire flow is crucial. Utilizing GIFs and transition screens is essential for maintaining interest and interaction.
The easy-peasy feeling
The cornerstone of AI compliance revolves around IT systems. Getting started is incredibly simple since all the commonly used ones are already in our database. Just search, add, and you're all set!

I came up with an alternative way to add IT systems, that gives some sparkles. This also enables the users to not land on an empty profile.
The setting up
Creating momentum during the account setup process to make users feel valued and as if something remarkable is unfolding in the background. It's all about keeping them hooked!
The upgrade paths
As our first venture into product-led growth, it's crucial to establish contextual upgrade paths that demonstrate and communicate additional value propositions. This approach effectively showcases the potential benefits users can unlock.
